「Case Study」EA-HWA Server Racks Successfully Deployed at NCHC Cloud Computing Center, Supporting Taiwan’s National Sovereignty AI Infrastructure

EA-HWA Enterprise Industrial Co., Ltd., a specialist in the manufacturing of custom high-specification server enclosures, has successfully delivered and completed the positioning and aisle construction of its server racks at the NCHC Cloud Computing Center in the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP), Tainan, through its data center planning partners. The facility’s inauguration ceremony, presided over by the President of Taiwan on December 12, 2025, marks a critical milestone in Taiwan’s 'New Ten Major AI Projects' and 'Greater South New Silicon Valley' strategies, establishing a robust foundation for the nation’s sovereign AI computing power
Official Launch of the NCHC Cloud Computing Center
Led by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and constructed by the National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC) under the National Applied Research Laboratories, the NCHC Cloud Data Center serves as the central hub for Taiwan’s "New Top 10 AI Projects." Built under the "Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program," the facility features a total power capacity of 15MW and spans an area of approximately 5,905 square meters. Designed to international commercial telecommunications standards, the center boasts high seismic resilience (capable of withstanding Magnitude 6 earthquakes), energy-efficient redundancy, and liquid cooling mechanisms, accommodating up to 700 racks (42U-48U).
The center houses the "Nano4" next-generation supercomputer system, which includes 220 HGX NVIDIA H200 nodes (1,760 GPUs) and the GB200 NVL72 architecture (144 GPUs), complemented by 25PB of storage capacity. With a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) as low as 1.18, the Nano4 system ranked 29th on the November 2025 TOP500 Global Supercomputer list. In the future, combined with the Shalun Smart Innovation Computing Center (120MW), the total computing scale in Southern Taiwan will expand to 23MW. This infrastructure will support high-end technological applications such as Generative AI training, climate modeling, life sciences research, and semiconductor R&D, while opening its doors to domestic and international providers to build their own computing systems as part of the "Taiwan Computing Alliance" public-private ecosystem.
In response to the high heat output and significant equipment load requirements inherent in AI processing, EA-HWA provided tailored, high-performance rack solutions. Since its inception in 1994, EA-HWA has specialized in the R&D, design, and mass production of server racks, instrument frames, and data center hot/cold aisle containment systems. In this NCHC project, the enclosures manufactured by EA-HWA met stringent national data center specifications, providing stable support for high-density GPU computing equipment and ensuring reliable operation and efficient thermal management under high-load computing environments.
Supporting High-Density AI Workloads
To meet the stringent thermal and load-bearing requirements of AI computing equipment, such as high-end NVIDIA servers, EA-HWA demonstrated highly flexible hardware development capabilities in this project. The delivered rack system features optimized spatial design for high load capacity, thermal management equipment, and cable routing, enabling seamless accommodation of high-density server configurations while ensuring that computing systems maintain optimal operating temperatures and performance under extremely heavy workloads.
- Structural Load Capacity:
Designed for high-density AI server deployment, the rack structure supports up to 1500 kg static load, ensuring durability and operational safety. - Thermal Management Efficiency:
Optimized airflow design enhances heat dissipation efficiency under high-power workloads, contributing to lower PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness). - Proven Construction Integration:
With robust rack and aisle containment planning and deep partner alignment, we ensure seamless integration of power distribution, cable management, and automated monitoring systems. This simplifies post-deployment maintenance and enhances operational efficiency.
